We are seeking a highly skilled, collaborative, and detail-oriented Accounting Manager – Revenue to lead our revenue accounting operations. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end revenue accounting process, including monthly close, revenue recognition under ASC 606, deferred income accounting, and continuous automation of revenue-related workflows. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, a proactive mindset, and a passion for process improvement.
What would I be doing?
• Oversee monthly revenue close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and manage the accounting for multi-element revenue arrangements, contract modifications, and variable consideration.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, and FP&A to ensure accurate revenue recognition and forecasting.
• Own the accounting and reconciliation of deferred revenue and other revenue-related balance sheet accounts.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives, including the design and implementation of scalable systems and tools to enhance revenue accounting efficiency.
• Support external audits, including preparation of revenue-related audit schedules and coordination with auditors.
• Lead the billing process to ensure timely billing and collection of revenue.
• Develop and maintain revenue accounting policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with U.S. GAAP and company goals.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior team members and collaborate with broader finance and operations teams.
• Collaborate in the optimization of ERP (NetSuite) and revenue recognition systems.
