The Role
The Finance Senior Manager / Associate Director will serve as a key strategic partner to senior leadership, overseeing aspects of financial planning, budgeting, accounting, tax, and IT. This role will work across all aspects of the Company, ensuring data-driven decision-making, strong fiscal discipline, and the financial infrastructure needed to scale.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Serve as the primary finance liaison to R&D, clinical, and manufacturing department leaders, providing strategic recommendations and financial guidance.
- Drive multi-year financial planning, and budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Drive the Oracle NetSuite ERP implementation across the company and serve as the SME for new users.
- Manage cost reporting and budgeting for the manufacturing facility construction, ensuring budget to actual variances are well documented and communicated timely to senior management.
Core Accounting & Reporting
- Lead monthly accounting and financial reporting for all operating subsidiaries.
- Perform accounts payable and purchasing functions.
- Manage external vendors performing technical accounting analysis and serve as the internal point person.
- Liaise with the external audit firm to ensure an efficient audit process.
- Design and document mission critical internal controls sufficient for the scope and scale of a young, private, and growing company.
Pipeline and M&A Support
- Work with the R&D teams to understand and forecast pipeline development and its related cost implications, including licensing costs, product, and vendor costs.
- Work with market access and commercial teams to build financials models for each project to determine profitability expectations, and related ROI considering project spend and timelines.
- Work with the executive team and external firms on M&A activities.
Tax & Investor Relations
- Liaise with external tax firm to record ASC 740 tax provision, provide information sufficient for the external firm to prepare partner K-1s and the annual tax return.
- Interface with investors regarding tax questions, including state investor tax credits.
- Prepare investor documents for periodic meetings and updates.
What would make me qualified?
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare.
- Prior roles in a big 4 accounting firm within audit or advisory, healthcare investment banking, or management consulting.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with expertise in Microsoft Excel; experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts for diverse audiences.
- Excellent core accounting knowledge under US GAAP.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of healthcare economics.
