About the Job

Reporting directly to the CFO, the SVP of Corporate Finance will be a strategic partner in the growth of the company. They will be responsible for providing oversight that will drive critical decisions, financial forecasts and reporting and strategic operating plans to achieve the Company’s growth targets.  This is a hands-on position that requires strong analytical, quantitative, financial modeling, and presentation skills and the candidate must be a strategic/creative thinker who is able to manage and work effectively on multiple projects.

What would I be doing?

Responsibilities

Corporate Finance:

  • Establish and maintain the Company’s strategic financial model.
  • Review and analyze the Company’s liquidity needs and cash flow forecasts.
  • Evaluate existing business drivers and identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead relationships with external stakeholders, creditors. Ensure compliance and accuracy with all credit agreements. Develop strategies to continue to enhance liquidity and financial performance.
  • Implement corporate finance concepts and best practices.
  • Implement best practice Treasury operations, develop appropriate working capital strategies and practices.
  • Support M&A activities with due diligence, pitch decks and monitoring results.
  • Develop presentation materials which outline recommendations to the Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

Industry and Competitor Analysis:

  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitive landscape and industry financial data to help identify business trends, growth opportunities, threats and pitfalls.
  • Develop and maintain peer group analyses, evaluate market dynamics including trading and transaction comps and other financial metrics.
  • Monitor intelligence, trends and innovation in the consumer and retail sector by gathering and analyzing relevant industry news and reports.

Leadership & Teams:

  • Build collaborative relationships with business unit leadership and senior management.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to develop a high performing team.
  • Act as a liaison between business, other departments, vendors, consultants and advisors at all levels and maintain effective working relationships with each.

What would make me qualified?

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field, MBA highly desired.
  • Proven finance executive with 12-15 years of progressive experience.
  • Experience working within a multi-brand company of size and scale is preferred.
  • Exceptional business partner, responsible for challenging and supporting the business, increasing the company’s ability to anticipate business issues, and driving informed decision-making through sound financial management.
  • Ability to thrive in a constantly evolving, highly entrepreneurial environment at a strategic level while being capable of driving detailed, tactical execution.
  • Proven track record leading high performing teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines at one time.
  • Highly analytical with strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Finance business experience is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with M&A, capital markets, treasury/risk, board reporting, working with lenders/ investors, investment banking experience preferred.
