What would I be doing?

Responsibilities

  • Primary role will be building the policies, controls, and processes of the finance function (monthly close rigor, financial statements, credit cards / spending, POs, budgets for each of our 7 subsidiaries, forecasting), as well as technical accounting (license agreements, equity matters, complex tax structures with intercompany accounting, partnerships and QSBS qualifications, as well as phantom equity programs, etc.). Included in this is managing AP and performing all journal entries in Net Suite. Currently outsourced to a accounting firm and may retain a portion outsourced in the future (TBD).
  • Interact with shareholders for the ongoing NJ Angel Investor tax credit (45 mostly international shareholders)
  • Assist with modelling and commercial launch planning for our 4 pipeline assets (financial model, cash processes upon launch, COGS model, and build a supply chain process) Work with commercial team to plan for set up of CMS applications and pre-launch finance activities (sunshine act reporting, etc.)
  • Work with GC to manage Carta and answer shareholder questions
  • Assist with M&A transactions (selling our pipeline assets and in-licensing new ones) and create pre-IPO roadmap for the finance function (not decided but a possibility).
  • Assist with future capital raises with shareholder questions, facilitating paperwork, share grants in Carta, etc.
  • Manage external KPMG audit, kicking off in June for 2025.
  • Prepare quarterly financial statements with full reporting package, consistent with public company standards.

What would make me qualified?

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare.
  • Prior roles in a big 4 accounting firm within audit or advisory, healthcare investment banking, or management consulting.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with expertise in Microsoft Excel; experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent core accounting knowledge under US GAAP.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of healthcare economics.
