What would I be doing?
Purpose
The Temporary Senior Accountant supports the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting by owning accounting activities not covered under the companies Shared Services model, while ensuring compliance with GAAP / IFRS and company standards.
This role acts as a key business-side accounting partner, focusing on review, validation, analysis, and control ownership, rather than transactional processing performed by Shared Services.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and business validation of outputs.
- Own areas explicitly out of scope of Financial Services.
- Work in methodological, looking for optimizations and leveraging Microsoft Office tools (Excel) and is process oriented.
- Act as primary liaison between business stakeholders, Finance Director and FS.

Key Accountabilities
FSCP / General Ledger Maintenance
- Coordinate and support monthly, quarterly, close in partnership with FS.
- Plan and document close of period activities.
- Communicate ledger entries and accruals to FS – develop and maintain appropriate documented methodology.
- Execute documented reconciliations and trial balances.
- Prepared judgmental journal entries not covered by FS.
- Reviews accruals and liaise with business stakeholders to document balances and backups.
Accounts Payable
- Lead reconciliation process for main vendors: liaise with business stakeholders.
- Analyze AP and propose invoices to be paid and sent to FS.
Inventory Control
- Liaise with FS for sales reconciliation process and ensure all postings are appropriate.
- Create tool for reconciliation of inventory.
Financial Reporting
- Review monthly financial statements produced by FS and validate accuracy and business context.
- Reconcile financial statements between SAP and company reporting tools.
- Collaborate with FP&A to ensure consistency between P&L and B/S during forecast cycles.
Other
- Take on special projects or ad hoc analyses as directed by Manager.
