The Opportunity
The Director, Corporate Accounting, Consolidation and Reporting is a hands-on accounting leader responsible for global close, consolidation, corporate general ledger, balance sheet integrity and internal/external financial reporting. Reporting to the Global Controller, this role will strengthen close governance, standardize accounting practices, improve controls, and partner with regional finance teams to deliver timely and reliable consolidated financial information.
What would I be doing?
Key Responsibilities Include
- Own the global monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation process, including the close calendar, governance, issue escalation, eliminations, intercompany accounting, and foreign currency matters.
- Lead corporate general ledger accounting and centrally managed activities, including cash reconciliations, fixed assets, leases, insurance accounting, corporate overhead, purchase price accounting, and hedge accounting, etc.
- Develop and manage the corporate accounting/consolidations team, while maintaining a hands-on operating approach and personally stepping into complex issues when needed. Own the preparation of the annual audited financial statements and related footnote disclosures, serve as a primary liaison with external auditors.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis, ensuring clear ownership and timely resolution of aged or unusual items.
- Own the monthly management financial reporting package, including income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows and key financial trends.
- Maintain disciplined accounting for non-GAAP and Adjusted EBITDA adjustments in accordance with company policy and applicable credit agreement definitions.
- Lead accounting integration for acquisitions, including opening balance sheet readiness, intercompany setup, policy alignment, and transition to standard close processes.
- Support accounting for debt, debt financing costs, interest calculations, derivatives/swaps/hedges and other corporate financing activities, working closely with Treasury and technical accounting resources as appropriate.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures and documentation related to the close and reporting process.
- Lead AR Securitization annual audit as well as weekly/ monthly reporting to the partnering bank.
- Manage the intercompany reconciliation and elimination process across all US and Canada legal entities.
- Own and maintain the consolidation and reporting structure within Oracle, including chart of accounts, reporting hierarchies and consolidation rules, in partnership with Financial Systems/IT.
- Partner with Financial Systems to optimize Oracle Financials and consolidation/EPM processes, system controls and automation, while maintaining strong ownership of accounting requirements and data integrity.
- Support CFO and Controller with Board, lender, ratings agency and management reporting, including financial schedules and supporting analysis.
- Identify opportunities to shorten the close, automate reporting and strengthen controls.
- Partner closely with FP&A to ensure consistency between actual results, management reporting, forecasts and Board materials.
- Effectively lead the team by hiring and retaining talent; address and develop performance and career development requirements.

- Excellent eye for detail in addition to analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to develop business relationships and provide functional leadership outside reporting lines.
- Strong ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player and results oriented.
- M&A experience, including due-diligence and post-acquisition integration experience preferred.
Education and Experience
- Approximately 10 or more years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility in corporate accounting, consolidation, controllership, and financial reporting.
- CPA required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, multi-entity consolidations, intercompany accounting, balance sheet controls, and financial statement preparation.
- Demonstrated success improving close processes, strengthening reconciliation governance, implementing automation, and leading change across organizational boundaries.
- M&A accounting and post-acquisition integration experience strongly preferred; public accounting experience, preferably with a Big Four firm, strongly preferred.
- Oracle Financials and consolidation/EPM experience preferred, with strong Excel, communication, organization, and team leadership skills.
