Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to lead our accounting organization through the next phase of growth and transformation. As a key member of the finance leadership team, the CAO will oversee all aspects of accounting, tax, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. This role is critical in supporting the company’s value creation strategy in partnership with our private equity sponsors.

Possible travel to office once a month for 3-4 days.

What would I be doing?

Essential Functions

  • Directing and supervising the global accounting (revenue/AR, GL, AP, cash management, reporting and compliance), including hiring and training staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with US GAAP, accurate and timely preparation and reporting of financial statements (monthly, quarterly and annually).
  • Establishing and maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard company’s assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems for greater efficiencies and accuracies.
  • Managing the US and statutory annual audit processes and serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
  • Prepare and present the annual presentation for the Board and Audit Committee.
  • Contributing to the quarterly lender’s compliances process.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize the Company’s tax position and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to prepare the Annual Budget, Board and Management reporting package for review by the CFO.
  • Responsible for overall treasury and cash management.
  • Develop and mentor direct reports and staff. Includes scheduling, reviews, staff motivation, training, and development.
  • Participate in in-house staffing training.
  • Supporting key projects like M&A transactions, implementation of ERP/EPM and other automation including AI initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and other executives to develop financial strategies.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to the executive leadership team.

What would make me qualified?

Qualifications

  • CPA required; Big 4 public accounting background strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment is essential.
  • Public company experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, technical accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with international statutory reporting (UK, Singapore, Switzerland) a plus.
  • Proven success leading teams through transformation, scaling, and system implementations.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills.
  • TPA/Health Insurance industry experience a plus.
