What would I be doing?

Specific Responsibilities Would Include

  • Support all financial reporting, including weekly/monthly and quarterly internal/external reporting for the Company. Consolidate divisional data/information and present total company P&L.
  • Assist with board & executive level reporting and presentation of financial results & key performance indicators, constantly improving quality & efficiency.
  • Assist with execution of various business analyses and drive cross-functional initiatives with divisional finance teams to collect and summarize key information and data for consolidated reporting.
  • Perform monthly and ad-hoc analyses for profit and operating costs in comparison to budget and forecasts.
  • Work cross-functionally with divisional finance leads and utilize understanding of underlying business drivers to continuously enhance reporting and improve accuracy.
  • Effectively communicate and present financial matters to key stakeholders and leaders.
  • Improve and maintain financial reporting systems / capabilities.
  • Manage and analyze company’s Corporate SG&A areas.
  • Support VP of Finance to partner with all corporate departments including, but not limited to, IT and HR.
  • Contribute to budget process by challenging assumptions to ensure validity and proactively seek out opportunities for streamlining efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Assist with monthly close process (reclasses, accruals, prepaid account reconciliation) ensuring entries are properly recorded by Corporate Accounting.
  • Reconcile variances of monthly actuals between Latest Estimate, Budget, and Prior Year.

What would make me qualified?

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of overall experience within FP&A, consulting or investment banking.
  • Advance proficiency with Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, V-lookups, logic formulas, shortcuts, Power Query/Power BI) and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with business intelligence/database tools (SAP/BPC a plus).
  • Ability to work with and derive business decisions from large data sets.
  • Retail / Consumer industry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
