Financial Analyst reporting to the Director of Capital Markets and Investor Relations. (4 days in office)

What would I be doing?

Corporate Finance

  • Own and manage the company’s financial forecast model, developing key inputs with the management for annual budgets and quarterly projectionsOwn and manage the company’s asset management model, tracking all acquisitions, capital expenditures and monthly rent projections
  • Own and manage other projection models including liquidity, tax, and dividends
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly Board of Directors materialsManage internal financial reporting packages for monthly reporting
  • Manage internal and external quarterly reporting packages
  • Assist in the preparation and review of 10-Qs and 10-Ks and associated support
  • Manage quarterly and annual dividend projections and assist management in making recommendations to the Board on distribution targets
  • Manage the quarterly REIT tax reviews in partnership with our tax advisors

 

Capital Markets

  • Assist in the review and negotiate key legal documents for capital transactions
  • Partner with financial advisors to prepare models, presentations, and other materials in connection with capital raises
  • Prepare quarterly and annual debt compliance and reporting to our financing partners
  • Support the IPO efforts once the opportunity arises

 

Investor Relations

  • Review and provide input to quarterly earnings call scripts, investor letters, and Q&A prep
  • Participate in conversations with key investors regarding performance, projections, and company / industry developments
  • Manage the process for the annual Proxy and other shareholder votes

 

Asset Management / Acquisitions

  • Develop financial models to analyze portfolio performance and industry benchmarking
  • Support the CEO and asset management team in analyzing the financial impact of operator / lease workouts
  • Assist in projections for acquisitions and other transactions, including technical research
  • Prepare monthly rent letters and reconcile payments

What would make me qualified?

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience within appropriate discipline such as Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Senior Financial Analyst or a similar role
  • Proven track record leading quantitative analysis and building financial models
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a desire to solve complex problems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • REIT or real estate experience preferred, but not required
  • Self-starter, team player, passionate, comfortable with a growing company in a maturing industry
  • Role will not have direct reports immediately
