What would I be doing?

This position will be responsible for the preparation and filing of all external financial reporting documents and related SEC filings.  The ideal candidate likes to work on challenging opportunities and thrives with strict deadlines on a consistent basis.

Main duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Participate in the coordination and preparation of annual reports (20- F) and current reports (6-K).
  • Generate and manage company accounting policy manual
  • Responsible for technical accounting research and documentation of new policies and procedures.
  • Work with various personnel and departments to collect information and input into the above referenced reports; coordinate, review and collect comments on the various drafts; prepare support files; challenge the appropriateness of disclosures; complete all relevant disclosure checklists and reporting questionnaires.
  • Maintain quarterly reporting calendar and monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones
  • Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules being deliberated by the SEC, IFRS, PCAOB, or other regulations.
  • Responsible for reporting and managing all equity-based transactions.
  • Assist with various accounting considerations as needed on an ad hoc basis
  • Assist with internal controls and SOX implementation
  • Assist with month-end close and financial statement review as needed
  • Assist external auditors

 

What would make me qualified?

Education/Experience:

 

  • Master’s degree in accounting
  • 10-15 years of progressive accounting experience
  • 5+ years of SEC reporting experienced CPA a requirement

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Combination of private industry and public accounting experience
  • Advanced technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS experience and knowledge
  • Prior experience designing, implementing, and documenting policies and procedures—in a SOX environment
