The company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Manager of Accounting and Reporting to lead financial reporting and accounting operations in a dynamic pharmaceutical environment. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements and regulatory reporting, while maintaining compliance with US GAAP, SEC regulations, and industry-specific standards.
What would I be doing?
Responsibilities
• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Lead the inventory, expense accrual, lease accounting and other general accounting areas.
• Ensure the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of account reconciliations.
• Lead the Company’s financial consolidation process.
• Assist with internal management reporting & analysis.
• Assist with the preparation of the Form 10K/Q.
• Lead the Chart of Accounts process.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and support internal control enhancement initiatives.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audit processes and interim reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Legal, Supply Chain and R&D teams to ensure alignment on financial reporting matters.
• Assist with Accounting process improvements and other ad-hoc initiatives.
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess potential impacts on the business.
• Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills.
What would make me qualified?
Qualifications
• Minimum of 8+ years of public accounting background and/or with a mix of publicly traded company experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA required.
• Ability to lead and influence a team.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and relevant accounting standards.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to coach and develop others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Workiva is a plus.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
