Why would I want this job?

We are currently seeking a Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Finance with an all natural food company reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

What would I be doing?

  • Serve as co-pilot to the Supply Chain Leadership team which includes Procurement & Supply Planning, Logistics & Warehouse, Manufacturing and Engineering.
  • Work as an integral member of the Supply Chain management team providing financial expertise to connect activities and actions to financial outcomes.
  • Identify potential improvements in cost effectiveness and drive continuous financial improvement including warehouse activities and E2E network strategy, carrier negotiation and shipping cost optimization, manufacturing waste and labor management.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against forecasts, budget and prior year and prepare variance analyses to provide future improvement insights.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial cost plans, including budgets, forecasts and headcount analysis in support of the company and Supply Chain function goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial cost reports, analysis & key performance indicators.
  • Educate the function on the connection of activities and KPI’s to financial results.
  • Support financial costing for innovation items as part of the Stage Gate process.
  • Lead capital management including ROI & payback calculations. Assist the business leadership in evaluating spend and savings scenarios.
  • Track all capital spending against approved budgets.
  • Ensure that adequate control procedures are in place at the plant, especially where there is a risk of material exposure as well as providing factory management with information and guidance, with a view to optimize the use of resources and achieve budget plans.
  • Lead 2 direct reports covering supply chain accounting and finance.

What would make me qualified?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA or other Masters preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting Management including Supply Chain Finance and Cost Accounting.
  • Proficient in data mining, financial modelling, scenario building and deep “why” analysis a must.
  • Prior finance experience in a manufacturing or consumer products company required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with and influence plant and corporate team members and executives.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, serving with a sense of urgency.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically PowerPoint and business management software, ERP experience preferred.
