Why would I want this job?

As a leader within Global Tax Compliance & Reporting, you, together with your team are responsible for the entire tax reporting cycle, including global tax provision, federal compliance, & state compliance.  As members of U.S. In-Country-Tax & Treasury Center (US ICTC), you and your team are also responsible for driving effective tax advisor support to all business in the U.S.  You lead the team in transforming tax process and translating knowledge into actionable insights.  As a people lead, you drive associate engagement, nurture team strength, and strike for sustainable team success. This person will line manage 4-5 Associates.

 

What would I be doing?

  • Manage U.S. Federal & state tax returns for domestic corporations, professional corporations, partnerships, and disregarded entities
  • Manage US GAAP income tax provisions and FIN 48 positions for domestic corporation, domestic and foreign partnerships, foreign corporations and disregarded entities
  • Provide business support for all U.S. business units, including forecasts and cash tax planning
  • Be skilled in relationship building, nurturing team member strengths and identifying areas for improvement, reporting progress to stakeholders, and representing and advocating for team needs
  • Train and coach tax associates and interns to improve their skill set
  • Indirect line management experience preferred
  • Be a key resource of tax process improvements for efficiency and digital transformation using data analytic tools (macro, pivot tables, index, VLOOKUP, Alteryx, Tableau)
  • Continuous review of tax compliance process effectiveness and communication of ideas for process improvements in the tax department for efficiency

 

What would make me qualified?

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university required
  • Master’s degree in taxation encouraged
  • Certified Public Accountant license or Enrolled Agent license encouraged
  • 5-8+ years of corporate tax experience, including Federal, state, and international tax, with some public accounting experience preferred
  • Large corporate multinational tax environment experience financial statement accounting, federal and state U.S. income tax compliance, tax accounting methods, and tax planning
  • Experience in tax process transformation
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to execute initiatives from beginning to completion
  • Experience working within a team environment, including with teams in various geographic locations.
  • Experience in tax reporting systems (ONESOURCE Income Tax and Provision and Dataflow) with implementation experience preferred
  • Experience in data analytics systems (Alteryx, Power Query, Power BI, Tableau) with implementation experience preferred
  • Experience using and implementing workflow tools, such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or Smartsheet applications preferred
