The Senior Project Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a world class project management function for the US Group Services Finance organization within company.  This individual will engage stakeholders at all levels to ensure understanding, alignment, and support regarding the projects/opportunities.

What would I be doing?

Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, the Senior Project Manager will develop, document, train and implement project management best practices into the culture and project delivery workflows for US Group Services Finance, in alignment with our PM governance and standards. As a result, s/he must be well-versed in project management methodologies, to deep dive in strategic projects where needed, create project plans and over time, build the project management capability in the organization through coaching and conducting formal training. • Promote Change Management to lead organization through projects and initiatives
• Serve as owner of project portfolio, aligning with the larger company organization’s strategies and manage awareness of interdependencies and cross functional impacts
• Identify scope of the Finance projects to create project plan including outline of tasks, timelines, and resources including budgets
• Attend appropriate reoccurring meetings as it relates to Finance to assist in managing agendas, presentations, minutes, action items, and follow-up
• Orchestrate all project team meetings including materials, agendas, minutes, and follow up
• Champion the development of project management best practices while elevating the level PM expertise within USHA and company overall
• Lead communications with US & Global leadership and stakeholders of overall progress of projects against scope, resources, timeline, and budget
• Identify and create mitigation plans and resources for potential timeline or critical path risks; communicate with appropriate stakeholders
• Evaluate and engage with required third party vendors and align vendors with current project plans
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, industry, and contractual obligations in addition to all company standards, specifications, and best practices

 

What would make me qualified?

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Business or related field required. MBA strongly preferred.
• Project management certification (PMP, etc.) highly preferred
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in managing projects or in a project management role.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in stakeholder management
• Successful track record of project execution
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
• Able to apply an analytical approach to determining the right project investments that yield favorable ROI.
• Able to communicate complex technical information and implications simply and in business-oriented language.
• Proven track record of collaboration across matrix organizations to innovate, implement efficiencies and drive complex change.
• Strong ability to develop, maintain and influence stakeholder relationships internally and externally with Senior Management.
• Inherent desire to work with management to improve/change processes to be future ready.
• Ability to communicate clearly to stakeholders and executive management.
